I work with adults, especially men, who are dealing with stress, anxiety, trauma, or relationship challenges and want to better understand themselves and create real change. A lot of the people I work with seem like they have it together on the outside, but feel overwhelmed, disconnected, or frustrated underneath.
My approach is supportive, straightforward, and grounded in understanding how your experiences have shaped the way you think and respond. I use evidence-based therapies like CBT, DBT, ACT, and CPT, but I focus on making things practical and useful in your day-to-day life.
My background includes working in foster care, correctional settings, and community mental health. I’ve also worked with people of many different ages and identities throughout King County, including members of the LGBTQ+ community and older adults. These experiences have given me a deeper understanding of how stress and trauma show up in real life, and I bring that perspective into the work we do together.
In therapy, we’ll take the time to understand what’s been keeping you stuck and start building tools that help you feel more in control. That might mean learning how to manage anxiety in the moment, communicate more clearly, or respond differently when something triggers you.
Clients often tell me they appreciate that I’m down to earth, honest, and focused on helping them actually move forward. I want you to feel comfortable being yourself, while also feeling like you’re making meaningful progress.
If you’re ready to feel more grounded and clear about where you’re headed, I’d be glad to connect.
